A Heart that Forgives
This movie was shown in service after our children's address that looked at Joseph as a young boy through to being chucked in prison over Potiphar's wife's lie. Following this movie the class delivered a live performance of the following scene (we'll post this asap) The week following our scripture exams had the senior classes - grades 10-12 lead the morning service. It was a fun time acting and dressing up in costumes to tell the story of Joseph's reconciliation with his brothers. The students were willing at all times to learn their parts and do all they could to contribute. Your service was well received by your parish, as was shared over morning tea that followed the service. God's blessings upon this group of students, let his word be a light unto your paths.
Purpose Driven Lives
Exams are done and dusted! Well done to all the children, teachers and parents who have worked tirelessly in preparation for exams this year. We had a really fun build up to the exams with a sleepover for the seniors, and a whole day of fun study for the primary and intermediate levels. While our numbers were not huge this year - there was definitely a sense of excitement and comfort at participating. Awesome stuff kids!

Greetings church family. It's holidays and to kick it off we have a whole lot of fun this week.
Senior Sunday School Study Sleepover
Monday 7th 4.30pm - Tuesday 8th July 5.pm, church hall. Gear list etc posted on our BC Facebook
Tuesday 8th July: Sands - all boys 8 years and older.
Meet at church 5.15pm, with $15 and snacks for movies. Leaving church 5.30 sharp for this event.
Talitha: same night, all girls 7 years and older.
Come along with something pink and gear. Kicks off at 5.45pm.

Samoan Language Week 2014

Vaiaso o le Gagana Sāmoa – Samoan Language Week: Sunday 25 – Saturday 31 May “Taofi mau i au measina: Hold fast to your treasures”. Minister of Pacific Island affairs launched the Samoan Language week in Auckland at Pt England School. This was a wonderful occasion where we shared the celebration with our own local Samoan language nest - Aoga a le Teuila. Tamaki College Samoan group were also part of the celebrations, ending our time together with a beautiful song all about the beauty of Samoa, it's way, language and youth. Greetings in and through the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To celebrate Easter, our Sunday School had a Palm Sunday Fun day and dressed up in green. We began the day at 9:30 with Hot cross buns and milo - and we sure had a lot of early birds turn up ready to have lots of fun. Then, we split into our 3 departments - Junior, Middle and Senior departments. In the Junior department the children enjoyed some fun chocolate egg and spoon races then created some beautiful palm leaf chocolate cupcakes..yum, yum. Our Middle department had a variety of activities like Pictionary, Palm Sunday quiz and even flax weaving - How cool is that! And the Senior Department were split into small teams for The Amazing Race.
Overall we all had a fantastic time learning collaboratively and actively about our Lord and Saviours triumphant entrance into Jeruselem. Sunday School, please tell me what you enjoyed most about Palm Sunday - we would love to hear your feedback.
