Happy Birthday Pati!

On Sunday the Kindy Department celebrated Pati’s 4th birthday. We were spoilt with a yummy chocolate cake baked by Pati’s mum to go with some juicy fruits. Happy 4th Birthday Pati! May God continue to watch and protect you as you grow.

God Bless

Sunday School has started!

Whats going on here?

Guess the scene?

Sunday the 12th February 2012...the day all our kids have been waiting for over the summer - the start of Sunday school! Although our kids have enjoyed their summer holidays I am sure they have been looking forward to Sundays spent having fun and learning more this year about God and His word.

We kicked off our 2012 journey with a fun session of games and activities including one of our old favourites - Snapshots.
It it was then time for our kids to find out who their new teachers were.

We have a got a great theme this year which I'm very sure our kids will find challenging, fun and informative.

The theme of our curriculum this year is "BY FAITH NOT BY SIGHT". We will be studying some great characters who exhibited great faith in the Lord in the face of many challenges and adversity. We look forward to learning heaps of new things and also look forward to seeing how our classes adapt and incorporate the lessons into their monthly family services. Fasten your seatbelts because 2012 is going to be another awesome year in Sunday school!

Grade 7

Grade 6

Bible Class started tonight.

Tonight Bible Class was officially opened for 2012 by Tama Setefano and Gary Mauga. We had a very fun evening that contained introductory icebreakers, sing-a-longs and a run down of the year's calendar.

Tama and Gary shared very encouraging messages with us about our ability to 'Do it'. You can do it...this is the phrase we all left BC tonight saying to ourselves. It was message that was well received by the members and leaders of Bible Class.

We shared a lovely light meal with one another and were quickly into our final icebreaker where we had to use our hubba bubba bubble blowing skills! After a lot of laughter we settled quickly and had a look at our exciting calendar for the year.

If you are interested in joining us on Monday evenings you are most welcome. We have a cuppa and chat time from 5.30 - 6.00pm. At 6.00pm our formal part of BC begins. Hope to see you there whenever you can make it.

A special welcome to our newest members, Lamp and Tanielu, wonderful to have you!

God's blessings upon us all as we walk out 2012 together.

New Year, new roles

The New Year has been well and truly greeted with many inspirational sermons and messages. The New Year has also brought the church some new roles. In early February we had the induction of Gary and Suliana Mauga. This saw his lead tutor hand over both Gary and Suliana to complete their final internship here at Tamaki.

This is an historical event for our parish as it is the first time in our history as Tamaki PIPC that we've had an intern. It was a lovely service that our whole church had the privilege of witnessing. A new role for us all to play a part in Gary's final year of training.

It was also our dedication Sunday where our elders, office bearers right through to our school children were prayed over for the year ahead.

Many blessings upon you both Gary and Suliana. We look forward with excitement to the things we will do together this year.
